Randall, our Historian and "safety net" Guide ;-)
The wind advisory didn't slow us down today, staying close to the treeline put us in near flat water. It's becoming Springtime on the river and the Cypress, Maple, Elm and Pop Ash Trees are all greening up. We got to see a few Bald Eagles and lots of other birds came out to play too. The Great, Tri-colored and Little Blue Herons, Anhingas, Cormorants, Snowy and Great Egrets were all out fishing and as we got to Snake Creek the Sun came out. We got a blast from the wind that blew us up to the Manatee spot and there they were! It's always a nice treat to get to paddle with the gentle giants of the river. We had a great group to spend the morning with, it was great fun and not a hint of snow ;-) IS good!
