A leisurely paddle on the Spring run June 4, 2014

There are many blooming flowers on Rock Springs Run now. Purple Pickerel Weed, yellow Spatterdock, white Spider Lilies and the Water Hemlock too. The river's edge is dominated by color. We saw several Red-bellied and Yellow-bellied Turtles and the big Gator was out sunning. We got to sneak up on a Great Egret and a Great Blue Heron and the fish beds shown through the crystal clear water. The river run at 72 degrees is oh so refreshing and a splash is all you need to keep you cool. It was a very nice morning to be on the river.
