A little Wekiva River kayaking fun

Karen and family down from WI decided this trip would be a good one for a little kayaking so we headed out to the Wekiva this morning. The river was clear and cool which made it easy to see everything under your boat. The swaying Eel Grass is almost mesmerizing. There were lots of mussels and snail shells in the sand and a mother Limpkin and her chick popped out to say hello. We also had a few encounters with the Wild Turkeys, Great Blue and Little Blue Herons, Moorhens and Ospreys. After our break we drifted back down stream which is always a treat. This group passed kayak 101 with flying colors and I believe I see some kayaks in their future J
